The Heritage Series
In 1997 the Ressler Mill Foundation introduced its Heritage Series, a collection of publications, which share more than 200 years of Lancaster County grain milling history.
The series’ booklets and portfolios highlight the knowledge documented through the foundation’s history preservation projects. Beginning in 1995, each item in the Mascot Roller Mills and Ressler Family Home was painstakingly catalogued and preserved by historian and collections curator Cynthia Marquet. Oral historian Debbie Wygent has interviewed 75 people who shared their recollections of bringing grain to the mill, the Ressler family, and life in an early 20th century eastern Lancaster County agricultural community.
This history and these memories have been preserved, and are offered to the public through the Ressler Mill Foundation Heritage Series. Please use the drop down list under Heritage Series Publications in the main menu for more information about each specific publication in the series. The Heritage Series is available for purchase through the Ressler Mill Foundation:
